Internet is gaining much more popularity now days. It's a good place to find information, a proper place for learning and a right place to be entertained. Now kids are showing much more interest on Internet browsing, as it's a great place for kid's entertainment. They are entertaining themselves by playing online games, charting with their school friends. It offers your children various new ways to expand their knowledge Sometime it is harmful for your kids as they indulge in visiting illegal sites. Parents should take step to protect their children online and should teach them how to use the web that helps to keep them safe. Before allowing them to go to online parent's should teach certain things to their kids about web safety, it helps them to keep their kids safe. Don't allow them to go to online without your supervision unless and until he or she understands the things properly.

Provide Online safety to your kids

Before they start exploring new things on Internet they should be aware of certain facts, parents should teach them what they should do on Internet and what they shouldn't do. Parents should supervise their children activity on computer, guide them about the Internet uses. Maintain specific timings when they can & can't use computer. When they are doing any online activities just monitor what they are doing.


Create more then one user account for your computer. Provide limited user account to your children. Don't allow them to use your computer fully.

When they visiting chat rooms, help them to create a user name and make sure it doesn't disclose any personal information like name, address, phone number, school address, picture of themselves etc. when your child is chatting with a stranger have a look on his messages weather he is giving out any personal information. Teach them to respect everybody on net, ask him or her not to write anything bad when he or she is chatting with somebody.

Tell them the right and wrong things about Internet. Ask them not to meet any online friend personally without their parent's permission, tell them online friends may not be the person they say there.

Try to set some rules before your child goes online. Rules like Internet access timing, interact or chat with known friends, never chat with unknown persons and don't disclose any personal information. Just have a look on the sites they are visiting and what they are doing there.

When your children are playing any online game. Check out the game and check with whom they are playing. Keep your computer in a place where it can be monitored easily, take a interest on the game your children is playing. If possible play with them, it help them to learn how to deal with others in online while having funs.

Teach them not to download any software illegally, tell them which software they should download which they shouldn't.
